1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to the use of GigYogi, an on-demand platform for in-person hourly paid jobs. By accessing or using GigYogi, you agree to be bound by these Terms. We urge you to not use the platform if you disagree with any of the terms listed here.
2. Description of Services
GigYogi is a platform that enables service seekers to connect with service providers near them and avail their services by paying hourly fees. GigYogi does not employ any service providers registered on its platform but ensures that all users are verified by ensuring that they provide valid bank account details and other supporting documents.
3. Personal Information
GigYogi respects your privacy and will use your personal information only in accordance with the Privacy Policy. GigYogi will provide personal information to competent authorities if any users on the platform are accused of breaking the law or are under criminal investigation.
3. Fees
Service seekers will be charged a non-refundable fee of 15% of the hourly fee for each job. The fee will be deducted from the service fee payable to the service provider.
4. Cancellation Policy
If a service seeker cancels a booking after a job has started, he or she is liable to pay a minimum of 1 hour’s agreed fee or for the nearest 30-minute mark at the time of cancellation, whichever is higher. For instance, if a service seeker hires a service provider for 3 hours but cancels the gig after 76 minutes, he or she will be liable to pay for 90 minutes.
5. Limitation of Liability
GigYogi will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of the platform or the services provided by service providers. GigYogi does not warrant that the platform will be error-free or uninterrupted.
6. Dispute Resolution
In the event of any dispute between a service seeker and a service provider, GigYogi may act as a mediator to resolve the dispute. Any decision made by GigYogi shall be final and binding.
7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
8. Modifications to Terms
GigYogi reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. By continuing to use the platform, you agree to be bound by the modified Terms.
9. Termination
GigYogi may terminate your use of the platform at any time without notice or liability.
10. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
11. Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and GigYogi with respect to the use of the platform and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether oral or written, between you and GigYogi.
By using GigYogi, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
